Tim Sweeney States That Both PS3 and Xbox 360 Have Six-Eight Years of Life in Them
In an GamesIndustry interview with Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games (the company that gave us the Gears of War series) and the genius behind the first Unreal Engine states that unlike past consoles, the Xbox 360 and the PS3 have a longer lifetime than their past counterparts.

No New Next Generation Xbox Unveilings in 2012 Says Microsoft
The gaming community will be disappointed to find out that Microsoft has no plan to release a new console anytime soon, according to a statement from Microsoft and this article on Mashable.

Portal 2 and Battlefield 3 Win Three Awards at This Year's BAFTA
So according to some news from Kotaku, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts held its awards ceremony, handing out awards for achievements in the arts of both film and television, which also includes video games. Portal 2 won the award for Best Game while Battlefield 3 managed to bring home the best online multiplayer game, audio achievement and also the public-voted GAME award.

BF3 Shows Off its Next Expansion the Same Time MW3 Releases its Newest DLC
Either it was a coincidence or a way of making a comparison between the two titles' content, on the day Modern Warfare 3 is to release three new maps to Elite subscribers, EA releases the official trailer for the new Battlefield 3 DLC. New Game Controller Technology Provides Feedback by Stretching The Skin on Your Fingers
While the Kinect has changed the world of gaming by allowing you to game without a controller, one person has decided to taking game controlling to a new level and fulfill the issue that is rarely addressed: a lack of tactile feedback in controllers. BF3 To Soon Have Three New Themed Expansions
Instead of delivering the usual downloadable content of maps for every FPS game out there, DICE decided to do something completely different when it comes to expanding Battlefield 3. They decided to give Battlefield 3 players a set of three expansion packs, with not only maps but also new game modes, new and innovative gameplay, and unique environments for each release.
Judging by the official descriptions, each of these three expansion packs will be set on a different type of gameplay for BF3. For example, in June, EA and DICE will release Battlefield 3: Close Quarters, which is an expansion pack that will put you in the boots of a foot soldier with new weapons, assignments and unique dog tags. Trailer Leak for the New Medal of Honor Reveals Release Date
Thanks to a leak by a source on Joystiq, it seems that we have a release date for the sequel to the 2010 Medal of Honor title called Medal of Honor: Warfighter. And from what we are seeing, it could be one of the more sought after titles for the 2012 Holiday Season, especially with its release date near the beginning of the Holiday months (late October - December). Map Content for the Next Gears of War 3 DLC Has Been Revealed
On March 27th, get ready to get back in the fight as Gears of War 3 is releasing it's fifth downloadable content pack. Included in this will be five maps, three of them new and two of them being remakes. The three maps will be called "Aftermath", "Artillery", and "Cove", while the two remakes will be Jacinto and Raven Down. Epic's Next Unreal Engine to be Shown to Private Audiences at the Upcoming Game Developers Conference
As you know, the Unreal Engine 3 is one of today's most prolific pieces of technology in the gaming world. It powers everything from Mortal Kombat and Asura's Wrath to Gears of War 3 to even Batman: Arkham City. If you're one of the few developers that uses Epic's engine, the upcoming 2012 Game Developers Conference will have a private viewing of the next generation of Unreal Engines in action. As for us in the general public, we will have to wait a bit.
