After tough competition from other football management games, EA has announced that FIFA Manager 14 will be the last game in the franchise.
In an open letter on the FIFA Manager blog, Gerald Kohler wrote "Today I'm writing to tell you that FIFA MANAGER 14 will be the last installment of the football simulation series marketed by EA SPORTS. This is was a very tough decision, so I want to take the time to explain it. This probably comes as a big disappointment to many of you, and it is understandable that you would ask why. "
Kohler went on to describe their defeat, and admit that although their games have been enjoyed by many, Football Manager held the crown, and has ultimately beaten FIFA Manager in every way possible.
"The football manager genre at this level of sophistication is highly specialized and primarily played in two countries (England and Germany), in which - on top of everything - one game has practically dominated the market in recent years. The niche

Previous whisperings and rumors suggested that Take Two knew about a new Rockstar game that would continue a previously created franchise, and we speculated that it may be a new Bully game.
A new bit of information seems to hint that a new Bully game is coming, and this could mean we have a next gen Bully game in the works.
Although no announcements have been made, Take Two, the publisher backing Rockstar, have filed a new trademark with the name "Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit."
Although neither Take Two nor Rockstar have made comments on the trademark filing, it's pretty clear at this point that some kind of new Bully experience is coming, and when putting two pieces of the puzzle together, it makes sense that Bully Bullworth Academy will be a brand new game in the Bully franchise.
This trademark name has been filed for Europe, however a United States filing has not taken place due to there being similarities with another trademark name, Bully in

If you're interested to hear about the results for first day sales for the PlayStation 4 in the United States, you'll be happy to find out that things have been pretty positive for Sony.
President of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, took to twitter to announce that a total of 1 million PlayStation 4's sold on the first day of release in North America alone.
To top that number, Sony plan to sell a total of 5 million units by the end of March 2014, and to be honest at this point in time it's pretty likely Sony will be able to hit this number.
Without taking into consideration any bundles, extra controllers, games or accessories that may have sold, 1 million units sums up to a total of $399m. 5 million units worth would end up being just under two billion at $1.9B.
Sony already announced that a total of 1 million PlayStation 4's had been pre-ordered back at Gamescom in August this year, and with Christmas right around the corner, a big chunk more PlayStation’s

If you haven't yet got your hands on any of the great new Batman Arkham games, you may want to wait a tiny bit longer before splashing out on either of the three games in the series.
The reason for that is Interactive entertainment and DC entertainment have just announced a brand new collector's edition that packages all three of the Batman Arkham games into a bundled trilogy. The collector's edition will include digital copies of the first two games, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Asylum, and a disc based copy of the latest game, Batman: Arkham Origins.
The new Batman: Arkham Collection Edition will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and will be released in the UK on November 22nd. The release date for other regions has not yet been announced, but it's unlikely to be far away from other releases.
The bundle copy will be able to be picked up for £59.99 ($37) on consoles and £49.99 ($31) on PC, and will include the extra content that has been released

A small percentage of PlayStation 4 users are complaining about various issues related to the new next generation console, and some of these problems are even preventing customers from playing on the PS4 at all. These problems range from HDMI display problems such as a broken HDMI port out of the box, or a console that refuses to output any signal after downloading an update, to more mysterious updates that cause the PlayStation 4 to pulse it's line of lights a certain color depending on the issue that the console is dealing with. This has spread a lot of conversation across the internet, and the general consensus is that along with the HDMI problems, and what people are now calling the YLOD, (yellow light of death) it may be best to wait before buying a new PlayStation 4 console if you haven't pre-ordered already. The scale of the problem is of course hard to gauge at this point, and like any kind of product, the unhappy minority are always going to make more noise than the satisfied majority,

Despite Sony's and Microsoft's best attempts to keep hackers and modders out of the gaming communities on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE, it seems more and more people are finding ways into the system to cheat online and ruin gameplay for others.
Call of Duty has never been perfect for this, and when it comes to modded lobbies and cheats running around in-game, the average Call of Duty gamer has probably heard at least something about such things existing.
Unfortunately, it looks as if hacks and cheats on Call of Duty Ghosts have hit an all time low. Many players are reporting issues with players using hacks to give them access to perks all the way through a game, and others have accidentally found themselves inside a modded lobby, where players are boosting and gaining thousand’s more points per minute than actually possible.
On top of the hacking problems within the game itself, news has hit that a team of hackers have managed to release a torrent file

Rockstar have been pretty generous with their Grand Theft Auto Online multiplayer game, and have given out a lot of content for free. Along with having GTA Online as a free game, and sending out free cash packs as a way to say sorry for the server problems, Rockstar are still giving out freebies.
The new free Beach Bum pack has been released, and it brings in a bunch of new content and features. The Beach Bum pack adds a new survival mission, a new race, a new team deathmatch, a new bike race and a new parachute job.
On top of this, it also brings in beach themed customization options such as tattoos clothes, haircuts and even beach themed vehicles.
The single player and story haven't been left in the dark though, and just like with Grand Theft Auto IV and the two extra DLC story content packs, Rockstar has announced that there will be new story content available in the future for Grand Theft Auto V.
Whilst Rockstar didn't give any information other than stating

Despite being on the Microsoft side of the fence with the popular Halo franchise, Sony has managed to bag a deal with Bungie to bring PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gamers entrance into the Destiny beta a little while before players on either the Xbox One or the Xbox 360.
Bungie have been pretty vague on the beta access for Destiny, and at first there was not any mention of any early access to the game. However, a little while after pre-orders were opened up for all four consoles the game is supported on, Bungie announced that pre-orders would give players access into the beta that will be available early next year.
Following on from that, it looks as if Bungie are being even more vague and have announced that there will be a disparity between the launch date for the beta on Sony consoles and the launch date on Microsoft consoles.
At this moment in time, details on how much longer Microsoft gamers will have to wait over PlayStation gamers haven't been given. Beta keys

After all of the talk and arguing about whether the two next gen consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, will have 1080P support for next gen titles, it's personally left me a bit frustrated with the way 'fanboys' seem to enjoy trash talking their fellow gamers.
This probably leaves Microsoft, Sony and any game developers working on next gen titles wondering what they can do to please the angry crowd of gamers that are slowly piling up outside their front door, and in Infinity Ward's case, it looks like a 1080P compatibility patch for Call of Duty Ghosts on the PlayStation 4.
Straight out of the box, Call of Duty Ghosts will play at 1080P natively in multiplayer mode, but the single player is stuck at 720P. The new patch that's been available for download since day one fixes this and allows players to play single player in 1080P resolution.
