Unless you're fortunate enough to be a professional gamer, making money from your gaming hobby isn't exactly easy. However, along with Microsoft's new Xbox reward system, Halo 4 players will be rewarded for doing what they do best; playing Halo 4.

One of the biggest problems with the Halo: Reach matchmaking was credit farming, and Bungie took it quite seriously. In Halo 4, 343 have revised the new experience system to make sure no one gets too far ahead, which is reasonable seeing as experience and Spartan ranks will now unlock players new equipment which are beneficial to playing better in the game.

Unlike Halo Reach, Halo 4 has had a pretty sturdy experience restriction straight into the game at launch, and this can limit the amount of experience players can earn a day whilst playing Spartan Ops and War games. Borderlands 2 DLC Info

The president for Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford, has now confirmed that the next Borderlands 2 downloadable content will be available to players by the end of 2012. For those becoming bored of the main game and the 'Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty' DLC, you won't need to wait much longer for the new content, because it is very probable that we will see it within a month's time, or at least by the end of December.

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, a leak by the PlayStation trophy system has revealed that the new DLC will be called Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, and will have three new gold trophies for PS3 players.

New Black Ops 2 Weapon Customization

One of the greatest things about Call of Duty's multiplayer has always been the amount of weapon customization, and with Modern Warfare 2, players could finally start to make their experience unique to their own gameplay style. In Black Ops 2, players will be able to customize weapons with attachments, and add perks to loadouts just like other games, but this time round Treyarch have added a lot of extra bits and pieces of customization that allow players to make themselves stand out.

In Black Ops 2 there will be a huge range of weapon camos, ranging from standard military camo to bright pink cherry blossom skinned weapons. Every weapon in the multiplayer can be skinned with a custom camo, including both secondary and primary weapons.

Borderlands 2 Exploit

If you're playing Borderlands 2 with people you don't know on Xbox Live, you may want to be careful. Hackers have found a way into Borderlands 2 code and have come across a 'hardcore mode' left in the code within the game. If you die with hardcore mode activated, your character data would be completely wiped from the game. Hardcore mode creates extra tension by making gameplay much more risky, forcing players to think twice about their actions in-game. However, the exploit in code has opened up possibilities for other players without the hardcore mode to lose their progress when playing with others who have the code activated.

There's been a Call of Duty game practically every year thanks to Treyarch and Infinity Ward, and because of the franchise's huge success, it's likely that there will continue to be a new Call of Duty release every year for quite a few years to come. One of the most frustrating things to happen in matchmaking in previous Halo games is when the rest of your team decides to quit. In a game like big team battle, it may not seem like much of a deal, but after one or two people quit, usually a lot of others will follow, and it makes it boring and extremely difficult to ever stand a chance against the enemy team, especially in smaller games.

343 are hoping to fix this by allowing players to join other games in progress. This will make matchmaking times significantly shorter whilst making sure no one has an unfair advantage against the opposing team.
