It marks another installment in the already excellent track record of the Halo series. This is the news that millions of gamers have been waiting for, and it is sure to create a buzz throughout the gaming world. The Halo series has been a consistent part of the Xbox community, and with the pending release of Halo 4, the series proves to continue its solid footing. Halo 3, Halo ODST, and Halo Reach introduced new game-play types and new character classes, which launched the titles forward above their competitors, and we expect the same level of progression with the release of Halo 4. Game vs Trailer
As most people know the past few weeks have been the NBA playoffs. Many teamshave come and gone and we have loved watched every second of it. Now for those of us whoenjoy playing games as opposed to watching them, Monday night gave us a chance to cometogether and watch the Mavericks play Oklahoma City. Why you ask? The most anticipated game of the year; Modern Warfare 3 is the sequel to the MW2, widely considered to be the best first person shooting game of this generation. In a sense, the first time I picked up a Ps3 controller last year to play MW2 (I know I am still new to the COD series), I originally hated the game. I found it so hard to adjust from Counter Strike and Halo games where your enemies were so easily visible and the guns were so straightforward. The beauty of the love for Call of Duty though, is that it grows on you. After many months later, I currently dominate and thats being humble.
However, Black Ops is a much slower paced game than its predecessor MW2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 looks to combine the best of both worlds. The faced paced gameplay of MW2 with the all the glorious customization that we have grown to love from Black Ops. There is some creative yet chilling marketing by Activision on promoting Modern Warfare 3(can be seen here). When you preorder the game at Gamestop you receive a two sided poster where one side is the game's logo and the other is a mock up TIME magazine front cover depicting New York at the time of Modern Warfare 3.

The next installment in the Call of Duty series seems to be getting closer.
So looks like things are picking up for Activision and Infinity Ward, as they released a statement (you can find it here on Kotaku) that the next installment in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series will be pushing the envelope when it comes to what people expect.
