It is nearly impossible to predict where the gaming industry is headed in the next ten years, let alone the next couple. Advancements that astonish the industry seem to get released every year, changing the way we play, and the way in which games are made.
Euclideon, an Australia based tech company, is developing a new way to map and design fully functioning game graphics. The traditional method includes building maps out of a large series polygons, which make the 3-D gaming environment. Euclideon, however, has found a way to convert polygons into point cloud data. This is a method of mapping 3-D objects with atoms instead of hard-edged polygons, making the detail on the gaming environment up to 100,000 times more detailed than polygon technology.
Being a small developer, Euclideon does not have the resources of big

Sony has recently bought the game developer Sucker Punch, who is behind the hit game inFamous. Sucker Punch, an independent studio has been consistently involved with game projects for Sony over the past ten years. Their recent acquisition by Sony reflects the positive relationship the two companies have built over the years.
Former employees of Microsoft founded Sucker Punch in 1997 as an independent game developer. They achieved early success with Sly Cooper, and the subsequent franchise that ensued for the Playstation 2 and Playstation 3. After passing the control of Sly Copper to Sanzaru Games, they dedicated their time to inFamous, which has had huge success with the

Hey gamers! So with the end of summer approaching we cant blame you if you are trying to squeeze in as many hours of game time as possible. School can really get in the way of prestige mode and accordingly you are trying to game as hard as you can before the inevitable beginning of school. I personally have been playing Ocarina of Time again with the impending start of the new semester (its a yearly tradition of mine).
So, I can understand the sentiment of non-stop gaming before homework and studying starts to eat up more time than the online gaming communities can. This being said, it is important to game hard but more important to game smart!

Catherine
There is a game that is bringing about more and more commotion to the gaming world. You might ask what game is it and why? Well if you read on you may find out! Okay, so this new game that has everyone talking is called Catherine. Pay attention to the name. That will come in handy in just a second. The gaming community seemed to be a little unsure of how this game would turn out because it was very… different. However, that is what grabbed our attention. Once it was released, it made a huge splash, in a very good way.

We can all remember family game nights, and one of the staple games for these occasions in my family was Battleship. It is a game that has been played by a huge part of the population and has been enjoyed for decades. The game has gone through many changes over the years, with the addition of built in sound effects, light up boards, and new game rules. This year however the game is taking on a form it has not previously extended into.
The teaser trailer for a Battleship movie features Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, and Rihanna, and the movie is due to be released in 2012. This debuts a new twist on the classic board game. The movie will not follow the traditional game play, but the concept of naval warfare is the central theme of the movie.

Final Fantasy XIII-2
As most of you know, Final Fantasy XIII-2 was announced to the public a while back. It is a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII. However, it is said that it will surpass Final Fantasy XIII in almost every feature. It has a much more evolved battle system than any other Final Fantasy.

The eighth and final Harry Potter movie made box office history over its opening weekend, raking in a whopping $168 million. It marks the end of a decade of Harry Potter films that have captivated audiences all over the world, and seeing it end is a bit nostalgic. The most recent opening shattered previous records for ticket sales, and even nudged ahead of the coveted Batman film The Dark Knight, which only brought in $158 million.
This is a tremendous feat for a movie in an opening weekend, but the fact that it is Harry Potter is not surprising at all. The series has been a staple of many peoples childhood, and as it finally comes to a close, the hype has been unbelievable. I was not one of those who battled my way into an opening night showing, but a vast number of people showed up for Harry Potter opening festivities all over the world.

The Last Guardian
Well if you all have been waiting for the release of The Last Guardian from Fumito Ueda for as long as I have, you may be in for yet another disappointment. The Last Guardian has been set to release for the past couple years now and it keeps getting pushed back. The biggest disappointment was when it was set to release back in November of 2010, right around my birthday. So I didnt get to go buy myself an awesome birthday present unfortunately.

We arent called Evil Controllers for an ambiguous reason. People forget that we can be evil, due to our accessible gaming products, and our dedication to our customers. Accordingly, we like to remind ourselves of our evil standards. Recently, our web designer felt the need to take a vacation for his Fathers wedding. Fair enough, it was a good reason, but vacations do not go unnoticed at the office, and a welcome back prank had to be set into motion.
The floor of his office was completely covered with cups of water the day he was due to return to work, a whopping 1200 in total. Imagine his surprise when he walks into the office clear-headed only to find that he is literally unable to enter his workspace. The prank went off flawlessly as Evil Courtney and Evil Carlos secretly filmed the whole event and our web designers reaction.
