Sony: Firmware Updates Will Not Be Troublesome in the Future
Currently, Sony's biggest problem is the way their consoles like the PSP updates their firmware. They're always often and they slow down or tie up the system which in result means that pick-up-and-play gaming sessions are halted by an essential firmware update.

Battlefield 3's Beta will be Available at the End of September.
Found on Joystiq, EA has announced that the Battlefield 3 multiplayer open beta will commence on September 29th for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 platforms. The beta map to be played is called "Operation Metro" where two sides fight it out between each other in "Rush Mode". Signs of Microsoft Moving Away from Japanese Market are Showing.
After years and years of promoting the Xbox 360 in Japan, Microsoft still only sells around 2,000 a week in the land of the rising sun. Last week, sales statistics showed that the XBox 360 was being outsold by Playstation 2 consoles. Mind boggling isn't it?

Optic Gaming wins the grand prize at the Call of Duty XP Tournament
At last week's Call of Duty XP Event, in addition to the huge assortment of panels and activities, they hosted a Million Dollar Tournament which let tourney participants duke it out on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Many teams took part in the tournament, but in the end, there can be only one winning team, and that team was OpTic Gaming.

Gearbox Software gives away free copies of Borderlands 2 at their PAX panel.
Randy Pitchford and the rest of the top staff of Gearbox Software decided to give a surprise for everyone who attended their panel at Pax Prime last week. Hype for the upcoming Battlefield 3 release gets an added boost today, as the Physical Warfare Pack Trailer has been posted across the Internet. The newest Battlefield 3 promotional release highlights some of the games newest weapon classes, and demonstrates their devastating impact. EA is trying to demonstrate the intensive thought that went into making the game, and with recent increases in competition between EA and Activision this trailer is meant to display the best attributes of Battlefield 3.

Insomniac Games doesn't have Resistance 4 in its future at the moment.
Insomniac Games was the driving force behind the great Resistance series for the Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 and they are about to release the third title in the series this September. But are they going to make Resistance 4 after this upcoming release?

Call of Dutys dominance in the first-person shooter category has relied heavily upon their annual releases of new titles. Last years Call of Duty: Black Ops left video game fans in awe of the advanced game play, and stunning additions made to the title. Black Ops has served as a reigning force in the video game universe, and one can expect that this years Call of Duty release will cause the same amount of fervor.
Modern Warfare 3s release date is set for November 8, 2011; a mere two days shy of last years Black Ops release. In celebration of Black Ops success, Jeep dedicated a special edition of the Wrangler to the Call of Duty franchise. Once again, Jeep has decided to celebrate Modern Warfare 3 with an updated version that features MW3 branding throughout the vehicle.
