The first big Battlefield 1 update will be coming soon and as a result, all live servers will be temporarily taken offline whilst the patch is applied.
EA has nicknamed the upcoming patch as the fall update and it will come with a number of useful changes. EA and DICE have both remained quite open about the future features they plan to release to Battlefield 1, but so far we're not sure which of the planned features will make it into the fall update. We may see the introduction of hardcore and fog of war modes, and we may also see a number of overall optimizations and gameplay improvements.
Whilst the servers will be going down for a short time, DICE has mentioned that the servers shouldn't be down for long - they've even opted to pick less busy hours to keep the outage complaints at a minimum. The outage, if all goes to plan, should last for just an hour. The outage times may differ depending on which platform you're using, but as a general guide, take a look at the listed

Backwards compatibility on the Xbox One is a big thing for some gamers, but it doesn't come with its own little hiccups. Halo Reach has been available on the Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature for a while now, but the performance for the game has been terrible.
Until now, players have struggled to play Halo Reach on the Xbox One without having juttery frames, freezes and crashes. Thankfully a brand new patch has been released for Halo Reach that has been designed to fix all the performance issues entirely.
The new update has been confirmed to help with frame rate on Halo Reach and from early tests it seems as if the game is now running as smooth as ever. Not only is Halo Reach on the Xbox One now working smoothly, but in some cases it has a higher frame rate than the original Xbox 360 version.
Now that we know that patches like this are possible for backwards compatible games, we wonder whether it'd ever be possible for a developer to revive a once-popular

After what felt like an eternity, The Division is finally getting public test servers. This means that new experimental updates will be tested before they are pushed out to live servers.
With public test servers, players get two benefits. Firstly, players can experience new content before it's ready by visiting the public test servers. Secondly, the developers for The Division can monitor feedback from players on the public test servers so that all bugs and issues are ironed out before a new patch goes live.
Public test servers should hopefully improve the overall quality of each patch massively. Not only can the test servers be useful for spotting bugs before they hit live servers, but they can be incredibly useful for testing new balancing changes or new weapons.
To begin with, the Ubisoft developers will be working on bringing the upcoming 1.4 update planned for October to the public test servers. Players who'd like to join the servers will need to install a public

A brand new GTA Online update is planned to hit in October and it'll feature some new biker themed content. The new Biker Gang update will hit on October 4.
Rockstar wrote, "The next addition to GTA Online - brings underground Motorcycle Clubs to the forefront of the Los Santos and Blaine County criminal underworld with a rash of all new competitive and co-operative gameplay as well as new modes, vehicles, weapons, clothing and much more. GTA Online: Bikers arrives on October 4th as an automatic update to GTA Online on PS4, Xbox One and PC."
One of the new additions to GTA Online: Bikers will allow players to use melee weapons whilst riding a bike. If another biker gets too close, a quick shank will surely put them off.
Players can also do objectives to earn the respect of the biker gang president. By doing objectives, players will rise up the ranks and new rewards will be made available.
A new vehicle, called the Western Rat Bike, will be added to the game,

A Major PlayStation 4 system update has just launched and should be rolling out to all regions that support the PS4 as we speak. The new PS4 update brings a number of changes to the user interface that many PlayStation owners will be happy to find out about.
Firstly, a more refined experience has been added to the main UI with thanks to new system backgrounds, updated system icons and revised pop up notifications and drop down menus to make it easier to navigate through everything.
Another great change is the adjustments made to the Quick Menu. The new Quick Menu will now no longer take up the entirety of the screen, which means you can still pay attention to what's happening in your game or on your PS4 system and still access the Quick Menu at the same time.
The Quick Menu also has an improved music player app - you can now quickly skip songs and change music via the USB music player or Spotify app. Sony has also attempted to make it so that the Quick Menu options

Whilst Battlefield 1 is just around the corner, DICE is still pushing out small updates to Battlefield 4. If you're playing Battlefield 4 still, you may be quite excited to know that a brand new user interface is coming to the game. The new update doesn't include any new content, but it does add a new centralized multiplayer interface for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The main feature added to the new interface is to allow players to switch between Battlefield games easily. The interface will allow Battlefield 4 players to switch to Battlefield 1 once it has been released, as long as they own Battlefield 1 and have downloaded it to their system. The idea for the interface is quite unique, and it's not something we often see from game franchises that often.
For now, the interface does not add much more functionality to Battlefield 4, although the interface is a lot tidier now and it is certainly easier to navigate, even if you only ever plan to use it for Battlefield

The Bespin update for Star Wars Battlefront has been talked about quite a lot already but there's no need to talk about it anymore because it has finally been released.
The new expansion, which is part of the season pass for Star Wars Battlefront, includes 5 new maps, two new heroes, new weapons and new star cards. The new expansion also adds a game mode which has been suitably named Sabotage. A description for the Sabotage game mode has been provided below.
"The Empire are using Tibanna Gas Generators to power their tractor beams, preventing Rebel transports from escaping Cloud City. The Rebels must blow up the generators and defend their extraction point. The Empire must stop the Rebels and hunt them down."
Whilst the new Bespin expansion content has been added to season pass holders, there has been a new patch alongside the update that brings some changes to all players. Firstly, the new patch has increased the level cap from 60 to 70. Players can also unlock new

A brand new update for Grand Theft Auto Online has been released by Rockstar and it adds a big range of new content.
The first addition to the new update, which has been named Further Adventures in Finance and Felony, is the executive suite. This can be purchased like apartments can and give players and their friends a place to prepare for their next assignment. The offices come with personal helipads, an office assistant and even an extra mini game to play whilst taking a break from all the hard work.
There are a number of new team-based missions that allow your organization to smuggle good throughout Los Santos. Your job is to move your product successfully without getting gunned down by the FIB, LSPD or even rival gang members. There are also missions which require you to defend your warehouses from rival gangs - as you can imagine, this will involve big shootouts, which are always fun.
There are a number of extra VIP challenges and jobs for CEOS too, which can be

Recently the Destiny team has planned to host another Twitch livestream to talk about the upcoming April update for their game. The new update planned for release at some point later in the month will feature a number of changes to the Crucible as well as some tweaks to the sandbox elements of the game.
Apparently the new update will include changes "both large and small." To top everything off, the April update will also include some weapon changes. If you've followed the development of Destiny then you'll know that weapon balance changes have become pretty commonplace.
Interestingly, Bungie wrote something that sparked a bit of curiosity in us in their even post for the upcoming Twitch livestream. Bungie wrote, "We might even find some ways to prove some new design theories in magical, delicious combat." Sounds intriguing. We're looking forward to finding exactly what Bungie means by this.
Like previous livestreams, it's likely that it will last for around an hour
