Battlefield 3 has a new official video online displaying some of the new multiplayer game play. The video is a kill montage from the DICEs newest first-person shooter, and the sequences shown are more than impressive.
The graphics resemble movie quality action, while remaining true to the Battlefield aesthetic established in earlier titles. The newly released game play best exemplifies the fast paced, chaotic action that previous Battlefield games are famous for.
One of the opening sequences shows soldiers rushing past a tank that is firing upon enemy positions. It confirms that DICE has once again created a first-person shooter that expands the scope of the online multiplayer experience.

The newest installment to the coveted Battlefield series, Battlefield 3, will be released on October 25th, 2011. The new game promises to bring an entirely new first-person shooter experience, and the information regarding the pending release only works to increase my excitement surrounding the game. As if the release of Battlefield 3 wasnt enough to get the gaming world excited, a paperback novel has only been planned to accompany the game.
Popular fiction/non-fiction author Andy Mcnab is writing Battlefield 3 and it will be released in November of this year. McNab is a former member of the British SAS, and took part in numerous special

The first batch of confirmation e-mails for beta testing of Call of Duty Elite has been sent out on July 14th. This means that successful applicants are already beginning to test the new Call of Duty community feature, and will be among the first public users who get to see its full capabilities.
This is very exciting news, as it denotes that the public is one step closer to experiencing the new CoD Elite feature. The remaining confirmation e-mails will be sent out to chosen applicants over the next month, and hopefully the testing community will be able to get a good feel for how Call of Duty Elite is going to change the gaming experience.
The statistic features, map breakdowns, and weapon information are going to make Call of Duty a much more engaged online game. I

Bungie gives a final bang to Halo before it becomes part of Microsoft
On July 7th which is known as Bungie Day, the people who createdHalo (Bungie) made their Bungie Armor and nameplates accessible to the general gaming public in multiplayer mode. Alongside, they prepared a bit a sentimental letter to address what will happen to the Halo franchise.
"As we prepare to become fans of the universe our studio began creating more than ten years ago...it's

Electronic Arts, the game developer giant, has recently acquired PopCap Games for $750 million. A French site linked to the leak of Gears of War 3.
It's months before the release of Gears of War 3, but unfortunately some people are impatient for Epic's game. This incident thatoccurred not too long ago has made such a security breach that law enforcement had to be called in. Thankfully that won't be necessary anymore.

Time Magazine-Gamestop Promotion under stress of its reception
While TIME magazine doesn't seem to be the magazine for gamers (I'm more a US News & World Report person myself), the magazine is getting some news from its Gamestop poster/promotion which I talked about back in mid-May. While it seems like it is getting some attention, some of it not what Activision wanted.
According to the New York Times, TIME magazine supported the art direction of the promo and also approved of Activision's

Bioshock Infinite: Evil Ambassador Copiozo's Thoughts
Bioshock Infinite is one of the games I was really, REALLY looking forward to hearing about at E3 and during Sony's Press Conference on Monday, my wish was fulfilled. Before I go on talking about what was revealed at E3, best we retract what makes me want this game so much.
Now when I heard of a new Bioshock, I was coming off a slight bit of a "meh" after playing Bioshock 2. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved Bioshock 2, but I did feel a bit of that the multiplayer was

Evil D-Pad Perfect for Gears of War 3
I am sure many gamers out there have encountered a game in which the original Microsoft D-Pad has failed them in some way. There are many games where you use the D-Pad in order to switch between weapons and equipment, perform a special move, or just simply walk around. These types of flukes dont happen all the time, but they do occur more often than you think. I am sure many out there will agree with me when I say that it always seems to fail us at the most important moment. This flaw in the controller has caused quite a ruckus in the gaming industry. However the workers at Evil Controllers have solved this problem.
