As of this Tuesday, Nintendo confirmed that the first-day 3DS sales in the United States were the highest ever for any Nintendo hand-held system. Unfortunately, however, no exact numbers were released and wont be released until early to mid April (which, I guess isnt that far away, even though it sure feels like it), when they announce the first-week US sales.
The 3DS, which launched on the 27th in the United States, sold a hefty amount through preorders, which apparently doubled the amount of preorders for the Wii on Amazon. The 3DS also came with about 30 new titles released as well, including:
Asphalt 3D (Ubisoft)
Bust-a-Move Universe (Square Enix)
Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (Ubisoft)

If Michael Bay made a movie about Angry Birds, this would be it.
Rooster Teeth done it again, in their weekly live action comedy shorts, the online comedy team that brought us Red vs. Blue and Achievement Hunter, have came up with a small fake trailer that is kind of a tongue in cheek to all the video games that have turned into movies. And the best part about it, it looks like what would happen if the director of Transformers and The Rock got his hands on the copyrights to Angry Birds.

TriForce Johnson, the First 3DS owner, was signaled by authorities...for being first in line.
Isiah "Triforce" Johnson is a dedicated Nintendo fan. He wears their gear, heck he is known to always wear a Power Glove (because it's so "bad"). In addition, he was waiting since last Tuesday to be in line for the Nintendo 3DS. The thing is, he was the only one with that dedication. See last week, he was waiting in his one-man line when the security staff of the New York City Best Buy called the cops to shoo him off their property.

This past weekend, AT&T announced that it would be purchasing T-Mobile and that the two companies would be merging, all for the low price of $39 billion dollars.
Through this acquisition, AT&T will move far ahead in the game, and maybe people will stop hating everything AT&T does. Maybe. After the merger, AT&T will become the only GSM wireless provider in the USA, and taking over T-Mobiles network infrastructure will allow AT&T to be able to expand their 4G LTE network. As a result, coverage will increase vastly, allowing AT&T to be able to reach 95 percent of the US population – this will add 46.5 million subscribers to the companys database.
Look out Verizon! While I may love your service this is certainly interesting. As shown in the picture below (from IGN.com), this is going to

Oh happy day. The love of my life Joseph Gordon-Levitt (if youve been following my blogs, you know my current affinity for him and the new Spidey Andrew Garfield) is officially signing on for the next Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently, Gordon-Levitt will be playing Alberto Falcone, the youngest son of Mafia Boss Carmine Falcone who was played by Tom Wilkinson in 2005s Batman Begins. Alberto Falcone, otherwise known as The Holiday Killer, will continue the Chris Nolan trend of using more realistic nemeses instead of the cartoony ones like Poison Ivy, Penguin, and the Riddler. I think Gordon-Levitt, who has been featured in films like Inception, (500) Days of Summer, and 10 Things I Hate About You back in the day, will rock the part, with his talent for portraying characters strongly but without overplaying his roles. His knack for subtle confidence and assured characters will certainly help out, although I am definitely curious to see him playing a bad guy

German University students unlocks the capability of the Kinect to help the blind.
At the Universität Konstanz in Germany, some graduate students have put together a project in using the Kinect to help the blind. Seen here, the students are using a helmet-mounted Kinect and its visual data to relay audio instructions to a wireless headset. These audio instructions would give the blind user warnings about upcoming obstructions and also general directions. They call this project the NAVI, Navigational Aids for

Tips Not to Follow When Trying to Save Gas
Every year without fail, the price of gas will yet again steal its fifteen minutes of fame in news headlines across the country. And it just so happens that the prices are currently stepping in the limelight and claiming its fame for its rapid rise. I dont know how you feel about it but, gas, is personally my lest favorite item to spend money on! I would much rather spend money on things that I want and desire than things that I logically need. For example, anything that sparks my interest like videogames, photography, independent films,

Video Game/Movie Series to be rebooted
Seeing how box office success is now determined by the simple formula: Remake/Sequel + inaccurate trailers + big explosions = success, it seems its about time for a reboot of the Tomb Raider films, even though the original only came out in 2001 with a 2003 sequel. I guess theyre running out of old movies to remake so they have to revamp new ones. Whats next, a grittier reboot of Inception with an all new cast?
Anyways, this past Monday, GK Films announced that they had acquired the movie rights for Tomb Raider from Square Enix, and should have a new film out
