Battlefield 3 has a new official video online displaying some of the new multiplayer game play. The video is a kill montage from the DICEs newest first-person shooter, and the sequences shown are more than impressive.
The graphics resemble movie quality action, while remaining true to the Battlefield aesthetic established in earlier titles. The newly released game play best exemplifies the fast paced, chaotic action that previous Battlefield games are famous for.
One of the opening sequences shows soldiers rushing past a tank that is firing upon enemy positions. It confirms that DICE has once again created a first-person shooter that expands the scope of the online multiplayer experience.

The newest installment to the coveted Battlefield series, Battlefield 3, will be released on October 25th, 2011. The new game promises to bring an entirely new first-person shooter experience, and the information regarding the pending release only works to increase my excitement surrounding the game. As if the release of Battlefield 3 wasnt enough to get the gaming world excited, a paperback novel has only been planned to accompany the game.
Popular fiction/non-fiction author Andy Mcnab is writing Battlefield 3 and it will be released in November of this year. McNab is a former member of the British SAS, and took part in numerous special

Electronic Arts, the game developer giant, has recently acquired PopCap Games for $750 million. PopCap Games is a popular creator of casual and social games for multiple formats; some favorites are Plants vs. Zombies, Bejewelled, and Peggle. Electronic Arts CEO, John Ricitiello, now boasts a digital business worth upwards of $1 billion, and the new addition to EA makes them the number two publisher on Facebook.
PopCap games selected Electronic Arts from a long list of offers they have been receiving, and David Roberts, CEO of PopCap, said this about choosing EA, They have recast their culture around making great digital games… we'll scale our games and services to deliver more social, mobile, casual fun to an even bigger, global audience.

An anonymous source jumped at the chance to grab the domain name, modernwarfare3.com, before Activision had the chance to secure ownership. Users who plugged in this domain name were routed away from any Call of Duty website, and originally were directed to an anti-Call of Duty video. Whoever runs the domain name is making an obvious statement of displeasure against the Call of Duty franchise.
Recently, however, users who plug in modernwarfare3.com are being redirected to DICEs official Battlefield 3 website. This raises an interesting debate over who runs the website domain name. It is unlikely that the site is run by DICE or Electronic Arts, given the bad public response they would endure as a

Battlefield 3 fanbase raising the rivalry between EA and Activision
It's only been a few weeks since E3 wrapped up and already the fanbases of both games of Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are standing their ground on which game will win this year's FPS rivalry. You see it in various forums, comments sections of gaming news sites like Kotaku and Digg's gaming section, and you even hear it on other games voice/text chat like Team Fortress 2 and Halo: Reach.
Now I'm a person who's usually on the fence
