$1 million Black Ops Tournament

eSports has started to boom in the last few years of gaming, and this year Call Of Duty Elite and Xbox are teaming up to bring one of the first COD $1 million cash prize tournaments. The tournament will consist of 32 teams from all over the globe and will take place in Hollywood, California from the April 5-April 7. Those interested in the tournament can register on the official Call of Duty Elite website, and take place in the qualifying contest.

Teams announced to be competing in the MLG 2013 Pro Circuit this March will have a chance to enter the Xbox COD tournament, and the top 8 teams will be abled entry into the contest. Eight

Madden 99 million Sales

Madden has been one of the most well received sports franchises of them all, and after 25 years of solid gaming, the sports series has finally hit the 99 million mark. FIFA managed to hit this title in 2010, so Madden still has competition, however, for Football fans this is a great milestone in gaming history.

The 99 million sales have also brought in over $3.7 billion total life net revenue. If that's not enough to celebrate though, this year marks Madden's 25th year, and EA Sports will be releasing the next Madden title as Madden 25, instead of Madden NFL 14.

PS4 Reveal FEB 20th

Everyone has been anticipating the new PlayStation and Xbox consoles for quite a while now, and although we haven't heard much official information, we've been regularly hit in the face with rumors regarding the two consoles, some being more credible than others.

However, we may finally have some solid evidence on the PlayStation 4, and what’s more, the console could be revealed as early as February 20^th.

According to EDGE, a website usually credible for their rumors and unannounced content, development sources with knowledge for both consoles from Microsoft and Sony have told EDGE that the PlayStation 4 will be more powerful than the next Xbox, and that

Dead Space 2 Bonus

Mass Effect was the first game to offer an incentive to playing the previous games, and playing Mass Effect 1 and 2 would reflect how characters act towards you in the following games. Dead Space isn't offering an incentive as amazing as this, however players of Dead Space 2 will receive an extra gift for having a saved file of the 2^nd game on their hard drive.

If you are one to have a Dead Space 2 saved file, you will receive the Planet Cracker Plasma Cutter in the third game. The Plasma Cutter has slightly better stats than the standard starting one and has all 8 circuits unlocked right from the beginning of the game, giving players a slight advantage

Visceral games are one of my favorite development teams because they consistently bring out new and original concepts for games, and the Dead Space 3 trilogy has been an extremely exciting experience to play through. I am looking forward to playing through Dead Space 3, however there's one element of the game that has almost tainted the experience.

Publishers like Activision and EA seem to eat up and spew out any method they seem fit to bring in more cash to their titles, and at times it almost ruins a games atmosphere.

New Black Ops 2 Content

From fragging your friends in multiplayer to shooting at zombies in well, Zombies, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 seems to have a mode for all shooter fans.

Sometimes though playing on the same maps with the same guns get old. That's where Revolution comes in.

Revolution is a content pack that will release on Jan. 29 that will include new maps for multiplayer, Zombies, and a new gun.

The newest map introduced into Zombies is Die Rise. This map will challenge players with a brand new minion and the map is located in a crumbling skyscraper. Giving an incredibly cramped feel.

Gamestop Early Access Gears

Gamestop Rewards Members who pre-ordered Gears of War: Judgement from the retailer will have early access to the demo, according to Microsoft.

The demo will start March 16 for these members while the demo will begin for everyone on March 19, when the game launches.

The players will also be able to play in the new Overrun mode. This mode pits five humans against five Locust players. This game mode will have the humans defending an objective while the Locust trying to destroy it. The players will also be able to choose classes within their race to further diversify Overrun.

The life of the PS3 is on thin lines now that the next gen PlayStation is so close, but that doesn't mean it's finished quite yet. Black Ops maintenance

Recently Treyarch has informed PlayStation players that they may have trouble connecting to, and staying in a game due to maintenance on the PlayStation network. It was nice for Treyarch to give notice to players, and although Treyarch gave little information on the reason for the maintenance, they wanted players to be patient and understanding of the situation.

The PlayStation network maintenance lasted most of the day, and although most PlayStation owners should be able to access most of the features, players may have difficulty getting into online play on some titles.
