Despite seeing in-game footage of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer last time, we only saw snippets, and because of that, we had no idea about what the game feels like when playing. Luckily though, Guerrilla Games, the developers behind the Killzone series have allowed players to play and record right off the floors of PAX Prime, and a video showing 8 full minutes of a multiplayer game have been put on Youtube.
The video is quite shaky and there is a lot of background noise so it isn't the best thing to watch, but it does give insight into what the Killzone multiplayer will feel and play like.
The first thing to note was that the graphics were extremely pretty, and with all the graphics, detailing and lighting effects, it was surprisingly a little overwhelming and proved hard to spot enemies at a distance.
Hopefully you'll be able to get used to the screen glares and other effects, because the multiplayer does look to be quite enjoyable.
I wouldn't say the multiplayer

Despite there only being the PlayStation 4 on it's own available for pre-order at the moment, after a leak from a French retailer Sony has confirmed that there will be various bundles available on shelves on launch day.
This information was given to Videogamer at Gamescom by Sony Computer Entertainment UK chief Fergal Gara. Fergal Gara said to Videogamer that, "We're tremendously happy with our overall value proposition, whether that be the entry price point of the machine or the detailed bundles and combinations that we will put on shelf at retail which we haven't fleshed out in detail as yet."
The leaked bundle on the French website included A PlayStation 4 console, a copy of Killzone Shadowfall, two DualShock PS4 controllers, and the PlayStation camera for EUR 499.99 which translates to around $650 US dollars.
Strangely though, Killzone Shadowfall was confirmed

Last week a new gameplay video of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer was shown off and it looked spectacular. Besides the amazing graphics, the gameplay looked enjoyable and fast-paced and it was clear the developers of Shadowfall have taken inspiration from many different games to create what looks like a smooth and exciting experience.
The only problem that did seem to come to our minds was that the user interface and game information shown on screen may end up being too much for split-screen players or those playing on a small screen.
However, it has been revealed this week that Killzone Shadowfall will not even have any split-screen options. This is understandable as it looks as if the user interface just won't support smaller screens. At the same time though, it is a little disappointing because the PlayStation 4 clearly should have enough power to have a split screen mode working on a launch window game, and if it doesn't, it's unlikely we'll see much

Quite a bit happened at Gamescom, but I was most interested in what games and consoles would receive rewards at the Gamescom 2013 Awards. This is especially interesting to find out because of the next gen console war around the corner, and the results were what many had already expected.
In the official Gamescom Awards 2013, a lot of different categories were announced. Most of the awards were already expected to win, so there really wasn't many surprises. At the forefront of the awards, Titanfall managed to bag both the best Xbox One game, and the best next generation game.
On top of this, the PlayStation 4 managed to grab the 'best hardware incl peripheral' title, leaving the Xbox One behind in the dust.
Interestingly, Forza Motorsport 5, and not Drive Club, managed to grab the best racing game award.
Destiny seemed to hold the most awards out of every winner though, and the game won Best console game on PlayStation,

Despite being a game that we've had our eyes on for a while now, InFamous Second Son has only just scored a release date within the PS4 launch window.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive title will be available to purchase in February 2014, much sooner than it's GameStop April 1st placeholder date.
Previously the game was said to release within the PS4 launch window, and it has only just fit into this category. While a February 2014 release date seems quite far away, it means Suckerpunch, the developers behind the game, will be able to work on and improve any issues the game may have. Hopefully the game will release and be as enjoyable as previous media has made it out to be.
Second Son is a series of open world third person shooter/action games and InFamous follows in the series as a sequel to Infamous 2, with story events happening 7 years after the events placed within the second game.
Thanks to the PlayStation 4, InFamous: Second Son

Microsoft announced last week that they'll be confirming a game that will come free with every Xbox One on launch day at this year's Gamescom. They have kept to their word and let everyone know that the launch day edition console will come bundled with FIFA 14.
The soccer game will not change the prices of the console at all, meaning people who purchase the Xbox One will be able to save themselves the extra price of buying the game separately.
Firstly this is good because it helps to shorten the price gap between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and secondly it helps that Microsoft have chosen a popular game most people are likely to buy anyway.
However, the price difference between the Xbox One and PS4 is large enough for anybody to purchase both a PlayStation 4 and FIFA 14 for less than the price of the Xbox One bundled with the game.
The price is minimal though, and if you were going to be buying FIFA 14 and you're

At first, the concept of sticking huge titanic mechs into a free flowing shooter that played out similarly to Call of Duty sounded a bit alien to me, but after seeing the Titanfall Gamescom 2013 demo, I can truly say that i'm bought on the idea.
The developers of Titanfall have somehow managed to fit a multi-floored dynamic movement system that allows you to jump from building to building in the neatest ways possible into a world that is inhabited by player controlled mechs.
I've noticed a trend with any game that has included player controlled mechs, and it usually ends with the game selling poorly and no one really interested in it, but Titanfall makes the transition between on-foot combat to mech combat so smoothly.
The gameplay shown seems to make out that there isn't any one loadout or mech that is overpowered, and there is always a combination of weapons to deal with any annoying enemies that you can't seem to kill with your old loadout.
For me, that makes

Killzone seems to be one of those FPS games that is being pushed to compete for the first person shooter crowns this generation and whilst everyone's favorite game might be different to their friend's, there is no denying that Killzone Shadowfall is something to look forward to.
To keep us all excited, new gameplay footage of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer in action has been released, and it looks spectacular.
From what the gameplay shows it seems that Shadowfall will have a similar scoring points system to Call of Duty, and there seems to be some kind of D-pad enabled ability system that looks similar to the one used for Halo 4's personal ordnance drop system.
Apart from that, the HUD seems quite minimal, although the kill log that tells players who's killed who may end up cluttering smaller screens.
The graphics are incredibly good, although in some areas this makes it quite hard to spot the enemy so some players may be turned away by this. Others may enjoy

Sony finally revealed all about the PlayStation 4 this week at Gamescom 2013. Representatives took to the stage to discuss new features such as the social sharing button and video game streaming partnerships and then went on to announce the release date for the PlayStation 4 console.
Whilst Microsoft failed to reveal any more details on their next gen console the Xbox One, Sony was enthusiastic to give fans peace of mind by announcing the release day for the PlayStation 4 in different regions.
The PlayStation 4 will be launched in a total of 32 countries this year (almost three times as many as Microsoft's 13 for the Xbox One) and will reach stores and homes on 15th November in the United States and 29th November in Europe.
Other dates have not yet been revealed.
Sony also announced plans to help gamers transition from one generation to the other by offering discounts on games when a gamer already owns a current gen version. For example,

Well, well well, it looks as if Microsoft has completely made a turning point on their new Xbox One. Now, not only can you use the Xbox without a constant internet connection, but we can now play the next gen Xbox console without the kinect entirely.
This change has come about after privacy concerns were made public due to the worry that Microsoft or a malicious third party could sneak in and watch your living room at any time.
Coupled with the always on internet, an always 'kinected' camera could only spell trouble in the eyes of those that take care of their own privacy, but luckily all of the DRM features have been removed, and now the Kinect always-connected rule has been removed.
Currently there still isn't an Xbox One with a Kinect not included and Microsoft still believe strongly in the success of the party peripheral, but perhaps we'll see a cheaper SKU without the Kinect 2.0 bundled in the future.
For those already interested in getting a PS4, if you
