It's been recent news that FIFA 14 will only be bundled with pre-ordered Xbox One day one edition consoles. The Day one edition consoles have already sold out, meaning any more pre-orders will not include FIFA 14, despite Microsoft previously announcing 'every' pre-ordered Xbox One console will receive a free game.
This leads us to think that there isn't really a FIFA 14 for everyone and although the big M settled a deal with EA, it seems that there was only a limited amount of free FIFA 14 day one bundles available.
Because Microsoft were unclear about this at the time of announcing the deal they have offered a compromise to those who didn't get the chance to pre-order the day one edition console due to 'unprecedented demand.'
Microsoft has decided to offer a free copy of Forza 5 to those who pre-order the console now that the FIFA 14 free copies have run dry.
This scheme seems very

If it matters to you, you'll be happy to hear that Microsoft has changed their Xbox Marketplace to something that sounds a little more playful. Starting from today the Xbox Marketplace will now be called the Xbox Games Store.
This follows on from a few changes that are happening to the digital Xbox Games store to make it ready for the introduction of the Xbox One. This includes a transition from Microsoft Points to real life currencies which has happened recently.
The changes won't really make much of a difference on a visual side, however Microsoft are still striding to make as many changes to the user interface on the Xbox 360 to make it feel more modernized and minimalistic with its square Windows 8 tile design.
When the Xbox One hits, the transition from the Xbox 360 will probably be very easy because the evolved design of the user interface on the Xbox 360 will end up very similar to the interface that will be found on the

A possible Microsoft Employee has leaked a debug Xbox One that shows a glimpse of the new console dashboard. Since the upload, the video was removed from its original channel but thanks to the power of the internet many others have leapt to re-upload it.
Unsurprisingly there are a lot of similarities in the Xbox One dashboard to the current Xbox 360 dashboard and the same tiled Windows 8 theme is seen throughout. There are a few different features, however the overall layout will feel very comforting to those who have used the current Xbox 360 dashboard.
The video uploader also opens up Rome: Son of Ryse and shows off a pretty cool new feature that allows the game to keep running in the background whilst the user accesses the dashboard.
The game can be viewed through a large tile and the video uploader shows that everything can be accessed on the dashboard smoothly and without issue.
It's likely that this feature will be available for movies as well as games

Recently we discussed 343 Industries strange way of saying "This is the next Halo, but it isn't actually going to be called Halo 5." After this point a lot of us decided to go ahead and accept that the first Halo game on the Xbox One might not be called Halo 5.
No one is really bothered about such a trivial thing, but a new leaked trailer seems to show that the next game will in fact be called Halo 5. The trailer shown is the same one as before, however this time round it ends with a Halo 5 logo being shown.
The new trailer shown is made by the same animation studio, Axis Animation, as before. Axis Animation seemed to have just edited the previous version to add Halo 5 onto the ending cutscene, although there doesn't seem to be any real reason for it.
This leaked video could of perhaps been made before Microsoft decided to change the new Halo's name into something other than Halo 5.
Regardless of the name of the next Halo,

Lords of the Fallen is an RPG that first made it's voice heard at E3. There wasn't really much to look at apart from a teaser trailer, but that then followed with another trailer at Gamescom and it started to look very impressive.
Once again, Lords of the Fallen has managed to impress visitors of PAX with gameplay demos, and I must admit I am definitely looking forward to this game.
The cinematic trailer we've seen shows a character wearing heavy armor as he fights his way to what looks like a very powerful hammer. Later on in the trailer we find out that this very powerful hammer is indeed a very, very powerful hammer. What follows is a very intense battle against what looks like some kind of oversized balrog in a snowy arctic desert.
The game looks to be a very promising RPG title that most likely will take inspiration from games such as the Darksiders series.
The developers have said that they want each fight to feel like a Tekken or Street Fighter battle

Quite a bit happened at Gamescom, but I was most interested in what games and consoles would receive rewards at the Gamescom 2013 Awards. This is especially interesting to find out because of the next gen console war around the corner, and the results were what many had already expected.
In the official Gamescom Awards 2013, a lot of different categories were announced. Most of the awards were already expected to win, so there really wasn't many surprises. At the forefront of the awards, Titanfall managed to bag both the best Xbox One game, and the best next generation game.
On top of this, the PlayStation 4 managed to grab the 'best hardware incl peripheral' title, leaving the Xbox One behind in the dust.
Interestingly, Forza Motorsport 5, and not Drive Club, managed to grab the best racing game award.
Destiny seemed to hold the most awards out of every winner though, and the game won Best console game on PlayStation,

World of Tanks is at the forefront for PC free to play ports on console, and we're now seeing more developers consider the move to both next and current gen.
CEO of Wargaming, the developers behind World of Tanks, has stated that "I see no reason why we won't eventually do next gen." And that it's "Just a matter of letting the new console grow it's user base."
If you're enjoying World of Tanks on the Xbox 360 this may mean you'll also be able to enjoy the game on the Xbox One some time in the future, so don't fret if you're scared to leave your 360 behind in the dust.
The CEO of Wargaming, Victor Kislyi stressed that it was important to let the Xbox One user base grow before they could move it to the next gen Microsoft console. "In free-to-play, you have to have millions and millions of players. On the PC, we have 77 million registered users worldwide. More than 75 percent of our players never pay us anything. We monetize only a small percentage who deliberately, from

The multiplayer on Ryse Son of Rome will have a microtransaction system that will allow players to purchase boosts that help to gain more gear. Since gaming has began, the microtransaction system that allows players to buy benefits to their game with real cash has mainly stuck to free to play titles, usually on the PC.
Slowly microtransactions have seeped into other games and now games backed by publishers like Dead Space 3 also include microtransactions.
Personally I think the whole 'pay to receive more than everybody else' system is something that needs to go away, certainly when players have already paid full price to play the game. I hope that the microtransaction trend will die out, although publishers seem keen to push us to reach for our wallets in many ways possible including pre-planned DLC packages, season passes and now microtransactions.
In Ryse Son of Rome players will spend gold on armor to make their character more effective in multiplayer mode. Players

Microsoft announced last week that they'll be confirming a game that will come free with every Xbox One on launch day at this year's Gamescom. They have kept to their word and let everyone know that the launch day edition console will come bundled with FIFA 14.
The soccer game will not change the prices of the console at all, meaning people who purchase the Xbox One will be able to save themselves the extra price of buying the game separately.
Firstly this is good because it helps to shorten the price gap between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and secondly it helps that Microsoft have chosen a popular game most people are likely to buy anyway.
However, the price difference between the Xbox One and PS4 is large enough for anybody to purchase both a PlayStation 4 and FIFA 14 for less than the price of the Xbox One bundled with the game.
The price is minimal though, and if you were going to be buying FIFA 14 and you're
