Japanese video game retailers like Geo are no longer supporting the Xbox 360.
Japan has been somewhat of a taboo place for the Xbox 360 when it comes to sales. Despite the fact that around the world the Xbox 360 is just as common in a house as a toaster, the console never really found a standing in Japan. While there were top selling 360-only titles like the Dead Rising and Dead or Alive series, both Sony and Nintendo are crushing the gaijin (foreign) console. Statistically, in Japan, the Wii has sold

Sony has recently bought the game developer Sucker Punch, who is behind the hit game inFamous. Sucker Punch, an independent studio has been consistently involved with game projects for Sony over the past ten years. Their recent acquisition by Sony reflects the positive relationship the two companies have built over the years.
Former employees of Microsoft founded Sucker Punch in 1997 as an independent game developer. They achieved early success with Sly Cooper, and the subsequent franchise that ensued for the Playstation 2 and Playstation 3. After passing the control of Sly Copper to Sanzaru Games, they dedicated their time to inFamous, which has had huge success with the

The Last Guardian
Well if you all have been waiting for the release of The Last Guardian from Fumito Ueda for as long as I have, you may be in for yet another disappointment. The Last Guardian has been set to release for the past couple years now and it keeps getting pushed back. The biggest disappointment was when it was set to release back in November of 2010, right around my birthday. So I didnt get to go buy myself an awesome birthday present unfortunately.

Summer is now fully underway, and most gamers have sunk their teeth into whatever they can get their hands on. Here is a quick rundown of observations I have made of the current gaming world. E3 released lots of exciting news and at the forefront for me, is the battle between Modern Warfare 3 vs Battlefield 3, and exactly how cool is PS Vita going to be? As graphically appealing as Battlefield 3 looks, I still cant help but shake the feeling that what it boils down to is a preference in gameplay, and Call of Duty has become just too familiar for most gamers to let go of just yet.
My neighbors across the hall have been playing way WAY too much Dirt 3, but Im sure that will end when Forza 4 comes out. If PS Vita was cool enough to make me not feel so bad about skipping out on the Ocarina of Time remake that exploded onto the 3DS. I mean that as a serious game title to compete against, and nothing in PS Vitas lineup looks as impressive as perhaps

Sony surprises everyone with the return of the heroic cartoon raccoon thief.
So among the announcements Sony gave at their press conference like Bioshock Infinite, Resistance 3, and other game titles, they announced something that took everyone by surprise by announcing the return of Sly Cooper in Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. This was an announcement WAY WAY WAY out of left field. Especially for myself. You can see the E3 unveiling trailer here.

When things of unwanted situations occur to a multitude of people, a number of them usually decide to make the switch to another alternative. Jack Tretton of Sony states some harsh words for gamers, especially 3DS owners.
Okay so after finding this technology article from Fortune Magazine's online site, I think you can see what myself (and about 99% of the gaming community) thinks about this statement. Frankly, I think Jack just probably shot himself in the foot with this statement, probably thinking no one in the gaming community would find it on Fortune Magazine's site.
It's proof that this man (not the company)

Nintendo's 3DS units in Japan, only about half have been sold.
According to this article (if you can read Japanese), when the 3DS was released, Nintendo claimed that 1.5 million of the 4 million handhelds were heading to Japan by the end of March. According to Japanese sales trackers like Media Create, there are a ton of unsold units in Japan. The sales trackerreports that only 836,000 3DS units have been sold, meaning Nintendo hasn't hit the one million mark in Japan. About 664,000 units from
