Console News - Update in XBOX Dashboard
For those that did not know, Microsoft Kinects will be launching on November 4th in the U.S. Microsoft plans to release a dozen games immediate and has five more waiting to come. I'm looking for Kinects to come out because I'm interested on what games I will be able to play. Gamer will be able to work on their dance moves with games like, Dance Central. Those games are going to be fun for the friends and family to all participate in. With a new

Industry News - Win a Kinect with a Whopper meal.
Between November 1 through November 28, all you have to do at a BK is order a Whopper Extra Value meal and you can get a chance to get a 4GB XBox 360 Kinect bundle (once every FIFTEEN minutes). The bundle contains a XBox 360 console (4gig memory), a Kinect sensor, Kinect Adventures, and Kinect sports. To enter and win you will have to order a value meal, then take the codes from the sandwich wrappers, drinks, and fries container and text them to a special number to enter.
Pretty ingenious...and a giant kick in my diet program. ÂÂFirst Monopoly McDonalds ends (with their chance to win things like game consoles) and now I'm drawn into buying

Console News - XBOX LIVE reaches 1 billion hours per month
According to one of Microsoft's latest press releases, apparently Xbox Live game network users spend over one billion hours a MONTH using Xbox Live. This averages to more than 40 hours a month a member (all 25 million Live members, that is), basically, more than an hour a day for every single player.
With Microsoft's upcoming expansion from 26 countries to 35 in the month of November, that number can only substantially increase. With the addition of ESPN to Xbox Live catering to an entirely different demographic than the average game playing movie watcher, who knows how high the number will eventually

Games - Presidential Left 4 Dead in COD
Killing Nazi zombies in Call of Duty: World at War never made a lot of sense, it was fun and it worked, but it wasn't really compelling. This time around it'll be hard to argue when you've got these 4 playable characters:
Left to Right: Robert McNamara, John F. Kennedy, Fidel Castro, and Richard Nixon
Left 4 Dead is fun because it forces players to work cooperatively, gamers can't go off on their own without an extremely high chance of becoming incapacitated and needing help from another player. While this mode definitely looks to maintain the feeling of a Left 4 Dead campaign it'll be interesting to

Gaming News - ESPN To be more interactive with its audience
Let's take video games and combine them with sports, what do you get, ESPN on Xbox LIVE! The gaming world is going to become a lot better with this release. ESPN has decided to partner up with Xbox LIVE and make the world of sports more interactive. I think this is a great step for our generation. A lot of people enjoy watching sports, but never been able to interact. ESPN and Microsoft plan to change that very soon. People will have the ability to watch 3,500 live and on demand events. They can vote on who they think will win the game. With the Kinects coming soon, gamers will not need a remote to change the channel.
I think this is a very exciting a unique combination, but it will definitely need working on after this initial launch. The problems with interactive products are the bugs that constantly occur. Over time that should become less of a problem. There are the possibilities of gaming going 3D. They are

NBA JAM not downloadable but a physical video game!
With NBA Jam already released on disc for the Wii, the PS3 and Xbox versions that were originally to be original downloadable content for delayed NBA Elite 11, will be now be a retailÂÂdisc release according to an EA Sports representative. EA Sports President Peter Moore stated that EA is going to ship NBA Jam as a standalone product in time for the holidays. This was sort of hinted at as Gamefly recently listed the game for a November launch which knowing Gamefly's rental service meant it was going to be a physical product.
Jen Riley of EA Sports Vancouver had this to say:
"The fact that retailers are showing the box is -

INTRODUCING THE NEW EVIL-DPAD FROM EVIL CONTROLLERS
Well it's finally out, we've been excited for it's release for awhile now and it really couldn't have come out at a better time for you guys. Black Ops is just around the corner and Super Meat Boy is $10 until the end of the month. Both of these games, while massively different, benefit from our Evil D-pad.
While shooters may not use the d-pad as often as the analog sticks, typically used for aiming and movement, the d-pad is still an essential part of the experience. Anyone that's played Gears of War to a competitive degree testify that the original Microsoft d-pad is often a failure in critical moments. Bungie ditched the use of the

Games - Banning in Halo
Like a Covenant Brute with a Gravity Hammer, Bungie reset the credits of 15,000 users who were caught earning credits through disingenuous means. Apparently there was a challenge being completed over and over again through "intentional network manipulation,"Â aka intentional Xbox Live disconnects. This allowed gamers to receive the credits awarded for this specific challenge 20+ times. The gamers caught having taken advantage of this exploit have found their credits reset.
Bungie has been taking their online community seriously since day 1 and it's nice to see them continue doing so, but is it entirely fair to punish gamers for taking advantage of an exploit in their software? A lot of innocent gamers have claimed that they have been unfairly punished by having their hard earned credits removed, but Bungie responded by saying "Spot checks have revealed the telltale signature of this behavior on every denier so far, so don't be fooled by the protests
