God of War Completed in 8 Hrs
The release date for God of War Ascension is drawing closer and closer, and official game reporters' reviews of the game are coming in hot left, right and center.
Most of the reviews seem very positive and are giving the game scores 8s, 9s, and in some instances, a big fat 10 out of 10.
However, one thing that got my attention was a remark made in a review on the gaming website, Famitsu. The reviewer has said that the game can be cleared in just 8 hours. No details on the difficulty he was playing was given, so it's hard to tell what environment the reviewer played the game in.
God of War's director, Todd Papy recently announced

DICE Finished With Battlefield 3
It'd make sense that after the appropriately named 'End Game' DLC, DICE will stop development for the popular FPS Battlefield 3, and according to DICE's Senior Video Director, Ronald Smedberg, they now have finished up with the game.
Ronald posted a tweet on twitter to express his feelings for finishing up on the game, and his hopes and ambitions for the future. "It's over. We're done with BF3. Both happy and sad at the same time, but the future holds exciting things."
It's already been known for a while now that DICE are working on a new Battlefield 4 title for the next gen consoles, and DICE has now posted up an application

Tomb Raider 1 Million
According to an Eidos admin, the new Tomb Raider title has hit a huge amount of sales within its first two days. If what the Eidos admin is said to be true, the new Tomb Raider reboot has sold over 1 million copies in around 48 hours. The post he made was short, simply saying "TR9 sales hits 1 million after < 48 hours!"
Before this reboot, the franchise was failing a bit, but the new game has managed to receive a huge appraisal from both critics and the gaming community. A lot of gamers have been incredibly happy with its results, with a lot of gamers feeling that it deserves to bring in some game of the year awards.

Blacklight Retribution
Although the free-to-play model has previously been something that has stuck to online PC games and casual smartphone games, it seems things are slowly starting to move towards a similar free-to-play model on consoles as well.
This is definitely going to be the case if Zombie Studios get their game onto the PlayStation and Xbox 360 if their plans go ahead. The popular shooter, Blacklight Retribution for a while has been a topic between Zombie Studios and their PC publisher Perfect World, discussing a possible release on hardware consoles.
However, recently Perfect World has finally given permission to Zombie Studios, and both Sony and Microsoft

Saints Row 4 Coming
A tweet from a person working at Deep Silver has given us all the more reason to stay tuned to PAX East this year, as 'something HUGE' will be shown off there.
Although it's not definitely a yes, after Deep Silver purchased the rights to Saints Row in the THQ auction, it'd make a lot of sense to see a brand new Saints Row game hit the industry very soon.
Another tweet from Chris Stockman, the design director for Saints Row 1, tells us that he's heard 'around the campfire' that a new Saints Row game will be ready for retail this August, on current gen hardware.
This would put the release of the next Saints Row game dangerously close to a similar open

Assassin's Creed IV
A new leak has shown the world the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series, playing out in the eyes of the fearsome Blackbeard the pirate, a narrative is given describing the terror that is known as Edward Kenway, and as you can probably guess, Edward is the main protagonist of Assassin's Creed IV: The Black Flag.
The trailer shows some pretty actions scenes on-board two sail ships side-by-side, and a few other combat scenes we've expected from Assassin's Creed, but what hit me the most was the unbelievable graphics quality of the trailer.
Obviously the trailer doesn't represent real game footage, but just for CGI in general, it looked absolutely stunning,

Deus Ex Movie
After a newly registered trademark was spotted for 'Deus Ex: Human Defiance' excited rumors quickly flung around the internet speculating on whether this was going to be a new game from Square Enix or not. Many came to believe that this was the case, but after further information was spotted on whois, a website dedicated to providing ownership information on websites, it turns out the new Deus Ex may be just a movie.
The website URL shown on whois is deusexhumandefiancefilm.com and the registrar of the address was CBS Films Inc, and not Sqaure Enix. In fact, the post doesn't give any information at all in regards to Sqaure Enix's involvement.
This almost definitely spells out an

Virtuix Omni Virtual Reality
At CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2013 a virtual reality headset by the name of the Oculus Rift was shown off, and it felt the closest to actually being in the game since man has dabbled in the field of VR. It didn't give any discomfort to the wearer, and despite the sudden change in environment, it didn't leave users feeling disorientated at all.
The Oculus Rift in my opinion is a great invention, but it kind of struck me that whilst the wearer was moving around their head in this alternate environment, their body was stuck motionless, and having a controller in-hand to control movement and other actions just seemed so out-of-place and it's
