3DS Owners! Want the Second 3DS Pad? It's Only at Gamestop.
So if you're a 3DS owner, you've heard about the new add-on for Nintendo's portable console, the Circle Pad Pro. The Circle Pad Pro, a $20 add-on will add a right analog stick and two more shoulder buttons, will only be sold at Gamestop, according to Kotaku.
So you'll only be able to get this peripheral via your local Gamestop or through their website. Which I think from a gamer's standpoint to be exclusively stupid and inane. I was born and raisedin middle of nowhere

A Wiimote Explodes Due to Parents Putting Lithium Batteries instead of Regular Alkaline Ones
Just recently, a Belleville, Michigan family came home to find their room full of smoke. However, it wasn't a fire that created the smoke, it was one of their Wii remotes. How? Well it exploded. Luckily nobody was hurt since they were out of the house while it happened. The only damage was the shrapnel flying through the room and damaging a few parts of the house.
So how did the Wii-mote explode? Well the family didn't know that in the manual for the Wii, Nintendo advises for its users to not use lithium batteries. Unfortunately the family didn't know and had installed

Modern Warfare 3 Makes $1 Billion in Sixteen Days, Faster than Avatar
Thanks to some news from the site ComingSoon, Modern Warfare 3 made $1 billion within sixteen days of its release. When put in a side by side comparison with major Hollywood movies, it was faster than Avatar, which made $1 billion in seventeen days.

Japan's Sales Charts Show That They Love Modern Warfare 3.
So according to some news from Joystiq, it seems that Japan really likes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on both consoles, they just like the PS3 version more. But that is expected if you have read my earlier blog posts about the relationship between the Xbox 360 and the land of the rising sun. Anyway, the numbers show that Activision's latest FPS title has topped the Japanese game sales charts at number one with over 180,000 units sold. As for the Xbox

Frank O'Connor of 343 States that a Silent Master Chief is Important for the Next Halo Title
Thanks to some news from Shacknews, 343 Industries' franchise directory Frank O'Connor said that he was surprised by how fans reacted to the absence of Master Chief in Halo: Reach (except for a quick easter egg/cameo) and stated that John (aka Master Chief) will be explored more deeply in the next title, Halo 4.
"I was a great proponent of the new Spartans for Reach...I thought that people would do what they did with the Master Chief and put themselves into the character's shoes, but people missed him."
Master Chief wouldn't

"I don't care that you help saved humanity from extinction, Mr. Fenix, it'll still be about two quid to Milton Keynes"
So in Milton Keynes, England a student had to pay a full bus fare for Marcus Fenix. I'm dead serious. Liam Sheridan, a huge Gears of War fan, was bringing home a life-size cardboard display of Marcus Fenix. Unfortunately when he reached the bus station (or coach station as our UK followers would say), Liam's montly bus pass wouldn't cover for his cardboard cutout as the

The players of the accounts in question were apparently caught using a technique called boosting (which you can read about here on a previously written Evil blog entry). "Boosting" is where you and a cohort
