Dead Island Causes a Stir
Recently the video game industry has received quite a bashing for various reasons: rise in anti-social behavior, gun crimes, mass shootings, and a lot of analysts are looking at violent video games as the main cause.
It is true that video games have become increasingly violent over the years, but it becomes a touchy subject when you put a video game as the cause of a mass murder instead of something like lack of social support and medical attention for the culprit.
But anyway, let's not get into the politics of it too deeply, enough websites have had their say on the topic as it is. What is interesting though, is that Dead Island's new collector's

PS4 & Xbox 720 Rumors
Nothing is solid news when it comes to new popular electronics releases, and it's no difference for the PS4 and Xbox 720. However, official news on both the incoming next-gen consoles is so sparse that almost any news is believable, and that could be why a supposed developer that has apparently come into contact with both the new consoles has created quite a stir on Reddit.
If any of the supplied information is true, the new consoles may be able to pack quite a punch. Unfortunately only details of hardware have been given, and OS information has not been included.
Both the PS4 and Xbox 360 will be better optimized to play ports from older generation consoles,

Microsoft Rewards for GTA 5
Grand Theft Auto 5 is going to be very successful. And when you look at the release of the previous game, you'll understand as well as I that there is no doubt about its upcoming success.
However, with a title as big as this, the two big console manufacturers, Microsoft and Sony, are bound to offer incentives to rope people into buying on their console instead of the other, and with the next-gen approaching, both manufacturers are probably going to try and squeeze as many pennies as possible out of the pockets of loyal gamers.
But what if you have both an Xbox 360 and PS3? If you look past the social aspects that both platforms have to offer,

Spartan Ops New Locations
343 Industries have given a few websites a preview into the next and final episodes of Spartan Ops for Halo 4. An unexpected press release was also given, and it gives details on new areas to visit in Spartan Ops.
In the previous five episodes of Spartan Ops, players have played in the Requiem sandbox, featuring many assets from both singleplayer and multiplayer maps being used more than once. From looking at the press release from 343 Industries, it's safe to say that the last five Spartan Ops missions will include a change of scenery, offering more variety in gameplay and overall appearance whilst playing.

Sir Hammerlock's released
Following weeks of rumors and waiting around, Gearbox and 2K Games have finally pushed out the new DLC content for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The third DLC pack takes players into Aregus, a dense unchartered area in the swamps of Pandora. Players will be given tasks by Sir Hammerlock and Claptrap in the new areas, and will also meet some new characters along the way, such as a Hyperion scientist by the name of Professor Nakayama.
There'll be a whole host of new enemies and bosses, as well as more chance for some super rare loot, and players will find themselves battling Two-Legged Drifters, Flying Slagged Spores and Insane Witch Doctors to

New Halo 4 Playlists
Frank O'Connor has taken a look back at the trials and tribulations of Halo 4 in 2012, and is both proud and excited for what's to come next.
"We made a lot of mistakes....There are a ton of things we wish we'd done better: Features that didn't make it into the final game. Glitches that emerged. Missteps made. DLC fiascos. Communication breakdowns, but there were things that went astonishingly well - the creation of a genuinely competitive AAA studio chief among them. A collection of talent and souls that can do something genuinely amazing on this and next-generation hardware."
Halo 4 has seen a successful year despite a few hiccups from the new developer,

Black Ops Play as Zombie
Treyarch has already masterfully revamped the zombie mode on Black Ops 2 by including new game modes and a whole campaign dedicated to the side-game that gained a huge popularity when it first made an appearance on World at War, but now Treyarch have added a new game mode to keep the zombie fans happy.
The new Revolution DLC was first believed to have a new zombie map, but it now turns out that the new map will also come packed with a brand new game mode called - where players take turns being the lone surviving human whom has to defend himself against zombies which are controlled by other players.
When a zombie kills the human player, that zombie

Dead Island Special Edition
Despite the small development team, Deepsilver have managed to release the second Dead Island, Rip Tide, in a reasonably short amount of time since their first game. And although it's not a blockbuster title, it's still got its roots set firmly into a great concept, and I'm very excited for the games release on April 23rd.
If you haven't pre-ordered yet, there are now three options to go for; the standard edition, the previous limited edition steelbook, or the newly announced Rigor Mortis edition.
For a suggested price of $79.99, Americans can get their hands on the Rigor Mortis edition on a first come first

New IP from Dead Space Devs
The gaming world has known for quite some while that Visceral Games, developers of the Dead Space series, has had a new IP up its sleeve ready to play at any time, and although previously all we knew about the game was that it was 'a thrilling online action shooter heavily backed by EA leadership,' we now have a little more potential information about the game thanks to a career listing from Visceral.
"We are seeking an experienced Multiplayer Level Designer with shooter expertise at the Visceral Redwood Shores Studio. This is a major opportunity to contribute creatively to an exciting new IP."
Obviously this could mean anything but an FPS,
