Lords of the Fallen is an RPG that first made it's voice heard at E3. There wasn't really much to look at apart from a teaser trailer, but that then followed with another trailer at Gamescom and it started to look very impressive.
Once again, Lords of the Fallen has managed to impress visitors of PAX with gameplay demos, and I must admit I am definitely looking forward to this game.
The cinematic trailer we've seen shows a character wearing heavy armor as he fights his way to what looks like a very powerful hammer. Later on in the trailer we find out that this very powerful hammer is indeed a very, very powerful hammer. What follows is a very intense battle against what looks like some kind of oversized balrog in a snowy arctic desert.
The game looks to be a very promising RPG title that most likely will take inspiration from games such as the Darksiders series.
The developers have said that they want each fight to feel like a Tekken or Street Fighter battle

Last week a new gameplay video of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer was shown off and it looked spectacular. Besides the amazing graphics, the gameplay looked enjoyable and fast-paced and it was clear the developers of Shadowfall have taken inspiration from many different games to create what looks like a smooth and exciting experience.
The only problem that did seem to come to our minds was that the user interface and game information shown on screen may end up being too much for split-screen players or those playing on a small screen.
However, it has been revealed this week that Killzone Shadowfall will not even have any split-screen options. This is understandable as it looks as if the user interface just won't support smaller screens. At the same time though, it is a little disappointing because the PlayStation 4 clearly should have enough power to have a split screen mode working on a launch window game, and if it doesn't, it's unlikely we'll see much

Despite being a game that we've had our eyes on for a while now, InFamous Second Son has only just scored a release date within the PS4 launch window.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive title will be available to purchase in February 2014, much sooner than it's GameStop April 1st placeholder date.
Previously the game was said to release within the PS4 launch window, and it has only just fit into this category. While a February 2014 release date seems quite far away, it means Suckerpunch, the developers behind the game, will be able to work on and improve any issues the game may have. Hopefully the game will release and be as enjoyable as previous media has made it out to be.
Second Son is a series of open world third person shooter/action games and InFamous follows in the series as a sequel to Infamous 2, with story events happening 7 years after the events placed within the second game.
Thanks to the PlayStation 4, InFamous: Second Son

Microsoft announced last week that they'll be confirming a game that will come free with every Xbox One on launch day at this year's Gamescom. They have kept to their word and let everyone know that the launch day edition console will come bundled with FIFA 14.
The soccer game will not change the prices of the console at all, meaning people who purchase the Xbox One will be able to save themselves the extra price of buying the game separately.
Firstly this is good because it helps to shorten the price gap between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and secondly it helps that Microsoft have chosen a popular game most people are likely to buy anyway.
However, the price difference between the Xbox One and PS4 is large enough for anybody to purchase both a PlayStation 4 and FIFA 14 for less than the price of the Xbox One bundled with the game.
The price is minimal though, and if you were going to be buying FIFA 14 and you're

Killzone seems to be one of those FPS games that is being pushed to compete for the first person shooter crowns this generation and whilst everyone's favorite game might be different to their friend's, there is no denying that Killzone Shadowfall is something to look forward to.
To keep us all excited, new gameplay footage of Killzone Shadowfall's multiplayer in action has been released, and it looks spectacular.
From what the gameplay shows it seems that Shadowfall will have a similar scoring points system to Call of Duty, and there seems to be some kind of D-pad enabled ability system that looks similar to the one used for Halo 4's personal ordnance drop system.
Apart from that, the HUD seems quite minimal, although the kill log that tells players who's killed who may end up cluttering smaller screens.
The graphics are incredibly good, although in some areas this makes it quite hard to spot the enemy so some players may be turned away by this. Others may enjoy

If you're into collecting limited edition games at launch, you may be interested in the different COD Ghost game editions that will be available for purchase.
Whilst these aren't 100% confirmed by anyone working on Call of Duty Ghosts, it is quite likely that these retailer descriptions are the real deal and we will be seeing these packs available soon across the globe.
So far people will be able to buy the standard edition of the game, the prestige edition and the hardened edition.
The standard edition simply includes the game, whilst the other two editions include both physical and digital content.

So this time round we got an actual reveal instead of just a reveal of a reveal, and not only have we seen a gameplay trailer, but tons of Youtubers and MLG players have had the chance to go out and test out the game's multiplayer.
That's great for us because it means we can get a look at what the game really feels and looks like. First of all, it's Call of Duty so we're not really expecting much difference from the previous games, but there are some key differences. Firstly squads will play an interesting parts, with separate playable characters all capable of prestiging, and there are a few new kill streak rewards and game modes.
Weapons work pretty similarly to the current games we've been playing and although there's been a few new changes that make you go 'oh, that's pretty cool' there really isn't enough to make it feel like a new FPS game.
I've noticed a lot of people seem to be gravitating towards Battlefield 4 this time a round, so it'll be interesting to see

A bunch of games announced this year are frustratingly available for next gen consoles and current gen consoles. This includes titles such as Assassins' Creed IV Black Flag, Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and more. For a gamer this can be a chore because you'll never know which version to go for, or which version will be played more by your friends.
Typically, for most of these games you'll have to wait a little longer to play on the next generation consoles because the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will need to hit shelves before next-gen variants of the games are released, but there may be more benefits to play on the new consoles such as better graphics or more support a few months down the line.
To help gamers solve this predicament, GameStop will be offering gamers $50 of in-store credit if they decide to swap a current gen game to a next gen game.
Although this sounds pretty cool, there are some catches. To be eligible

It's easy to get caught up in the events that happen within the Assassins' Creed animus, but the truth of the matter is that within the game world, the Animus is not what is being played out in the real modern world.
In Assassins' Creed IV Black Flag, game director Ashraf Ismail has previously said that within Black Flag, the modern era areas will work as a place where players can meet and interact with each other.
Ashraf Ismail has said “The feeling and the mood of the present day will be a big surprise for people. Imagine when you exit that workstation, you have this building that you can explore and you can find stuff. So we really push it. For us, that part is an homage to our fans."
It seems as if the modern era area will work out to be some kind of online lobby, and judging by the screenshots, the place certainly looks like quite a nice place to hang out.
Do you think the developers of the Assassins' Creed series need to work hard into integrating the animus

Although Call of Duty Ghosts will be released for multiple platforms with many different hardware specifications, Mark Ruben, executive producer at Infinity Ward, has stated that players of the new Call of Duty Ghosts game will get the best graphical experience possible for their system.
This means players with a gaming PC or a next gen console like the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to enjoy the full HD resolution found within the textures Infinity Ward have created for the game, but older and less capable platforms such as the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 will receive down-scaled versions that offer the best graphical quality possible without being too much of a drain on the resources available.
Mark Ruben directly said "What we've done with this generation change, especially for the art pipeline, that being the biggest difference, is we're making our big art assets at cinema quality, not even PC quality, but above next-gen. It's
