Capcom Releases the Latest Details on its Latest Sequel for the Resident Evil Series
With the recent announcement and trailer for Resident Evil 6 during Capcom's big 15th anniversary event in Japan, fans thought that would be all the details they would be getting for now. However, Capcom delivered even more information about the game beyond the trailer. It seems Leon will be joined by a new female protagonist named Helena Harper, while Chris Redfield's partner remains unknown at this time.
In addition, the trailer had a huge snarling beast which has been

Namco and Capcom Teases Pac-Man as a Playable Character in for the Vita's Street Fighter x Tekken
Just recently, thanks to the news from Joystiq, Capcom released a new trailer for their upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken game. The trailer basically goes over the confirmed characters as well as showing a few new ones like Tekken's Paul Phoenix Xiaoyu and as well as Street Fighter's Vega and Balrog (or Balrog and Mike Bison if you follow the Japanese version of Street Fighter). However, that's not the big news right

Play as the Devourer of Worldsin Ultimate MVC3
I always wished there was some way to play as the boss, seeing as they are the cheapest of the cheap and have all the cool abilities. Aside from the instance of playing as Apocalypse in X-men vs Street Fighter on the PS1, there really was no chance of you ever taking the reigns of the other bosses like Abyss in Marvel vs Capcom 2...until now.
Thanks tosome

Fighting Game Developers lend Moral Support to Japan
As you know, last week we reported that video game companies are lending their support in the relief effort in Japan. Well just recently, Capcom is lending more of their support (morally) by providing some wallpapers to remind people to lend a hand.
Seen and read here (if you can read Japanese), the developers of Capcom issued this statement:
On March 11th, we felt great sympathy for those effected by the Earthquake here in Japan.

As of this Tuesday, Nintendo confirmed that the first-day 3DS sales in the United States were the highest ever for any Nintendo hand-held system. Unfortunately, however, no exact numbers were released and wont be released until early to mid April (which, I guess isnt that far away, even though it sure feels like it), when they announce the first-week US sales.
The 3DS, which launched on the 27th in the United States, sold a hefty amount through preorders, which apparently doubled the amount of preorders for the Wii on Amazon. The 3DS also came with about 30 new titles released as well, including:
Asphalt 3D (Ubisoft)
Bust-a-Move Universe (Square Enix)
Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D (Ubisoft)

I was happy enough to be invited to a release party for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on Valentines hosted by the nice people who organize the annual Devastation tournament, which, in my opinion, was certainly better than some lame date with some guy I barely know that felt obligated to have a Valentine. Although it was over an hour of a trek, another Evil coworker and I gladly drove out, Evil D-pads and swag in arms to give away to attendees.
The party was at the Best Buy out in Surprise, AZ, and probably housed over 50 excited gamers in attendance. Both Evil Controllers and Monster attended the event and handed out goodies (apparently Monster drinks now come in turbo form with even more energy boosting capabilities….oy vey). People from all sorts of backgrounds attended, young, old, mid life crisis range, to play Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hours before the official release, using both our Evil D-Pad controllers or joystick pads

Capcom Game cures more Rage Quits?
Rage quitting is an actionnewer to consoles then it is to PC, but the term and the actionhave been around for quite awhile. Rage quitting is exactly as it sounds, it's when a player is frustrated and has the suspicion they're going to lose an online game so they choose to disconnect rather then accept defeat or ruin their win ratio. Street Fighter 4 players dealt with this fairly regularly although Capcom worked to fix the problem by revealing the disconnect ratio of players to encourage them not to disconnect until their match was over.
With Marvel vs Capcom 3 Capcom has a different approach. The disconnect ratio of players isn't so public, but hidden more in the back end, more involved with which players
